We've got another great year lined up for Manatee Audubon with a great slate of events and meetings!

Catch Early Fall Migrants!

Steve Black (941) 376-0110 will be leading a trip to Fort DeSoto on Wednesday, September 25th. We'll meet at the first rest area after the tollbooth on the sunshine Skyway Bridge at 8 AM. Search for migrants and shore birds at this hottest migration birding spot on the West Coast. Bring a lunch or be prepared to buy one. Moderate walking if desired, but you can also hang out by the Mulberry Trees. Free for members, $3 for non-members.

Something New!

We're trying something new this year, impromptu, spur of the moment trips to catch a migration fallout or an unusual sighting. When a fallout is expected or a sighting published, we'll contact you by email with the meeting place and details. You can request notification by phone. Just call (941) 792-2222, and leave a message stating your preference, your name and your contact phone number.

We'll be changing the website to have pages with the latest news on areas of interest; conservation, Jr. Audubon, education etc. STAY TUNED!.

FIRST MEETING
October 17, at 6:30pm

Speaker: Steve Black

Our Own Steve Black will talk on the History of Felts Preserve and the Use of Native Plants in the Restoration of the Preserve. Jim Stephenson will follow with a brief report on the Hog Island, Maine Camp Experience..
